Open Theology invites interdisciplinary research on how religious movements shape electoral politics, political behaviour, mobilization, governance, and institutional change.
Open Theology invites interdisciplinary research on how religious movements shape electoral politics, political behaviour, mobilization, governance, and institutional change.
The issue seeks contributions that integrate theological frameworks with empirically grounded analysis, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches, to examine mobilization, political engagement, and institutional change. Submissions should aim to articulate proposals with real normative and operational traction, while remaining attentive to feasibility and measurable change.

The issue also welcomes broader analyses of electoral dynamics, political mobilization, movement formation, governance, theological concepts, and the relationship between religious movements and institutional change.
Open Theology is published under an Open Access model. As a rule, publication costs are covered through Article Publishing Charges (APCs) paid by authors, affiliated institutions, funders, or sponsors.
Authors without access to publishing funds are encouraged to discuss potential discounts or waivers with OA Portfolio Manager Magdalena Skoneczna before submitting their manuscripts.
Submissions will be collected until 30 September 2026 via the online submission system.
