The publication aims to highlight the continued relevance of Foucault's conception of power. His analyses are particularly pertinent to the present age because they understand power not only as domination of one person or group over others, but also as operating through extensive networks, including those involved in money laundering, drug trafficking, and other forms of organized influence.
Foucault's theories of discipline, surveillance, and governmentality are likewise essential for understanding digital surveillance and the optimization of power and social control in contemporary society.
