Análisis Filosófico invites original articles on oppressive discourses, silencing, epistemic injustice, and argumentative practices, especially in Latin American contexts.
"Oppressive discourse" may be understood as a speech act that harms a person or group and whose consequences contribute to the perpetuation of conditions of subordination. One manifestation of oppression is the deprivation of credibility and, consequently, epistemic authority, thereby reproducing discriminatory forms of subordination.
This epistemic form of oppression can contribute to the silencing of marginalized groups. The special issue therefore focuses on analyzing these forms of oppression and the discursive and argumentative mechanisms that sustain them.
Language is deeply intertwined with social practices and ways of life, and harmful stereotypes about individuals or groups can be forged and reinforced through discursive activities. Preventing epistemic injustices therefore requires critical reflection on the influence of discursive power on credibility, epistemic authority, and prejudices associated with epistemic agents, as well as on the fallacies and argumentative errors committed by producers of oppressive discourse.
The issue seeks contributions from informal logic, epistemology, gender studies, and related philosophical fields that examine recurring forms of discussion and argumentation through cases and examples drawn from everyday life. It aims to demonstrate how philosophical analysis of argumentation can help mitigate epistemic injustice and identify and dismantle harmful prejudices that promote discrimination.

Submissions should be made through the Análisis Filosófico website, following the journal's author guidelines.
When submitting, authors should include a note in the "Comments for the Editor" field indicating that the manuscript is intended for this special issue.
All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review by external referees.
