The issue seeks to revive a philosophical perspective capable of integrating the sensory, emotional, and creative dimensions of metaphor, examining its role in interpretative processes, concept formation, and expressive practices.

Topics may include:

Metaphor and perspective shift
Metaphor, intuitive perception, and insight
Embodiment and conceptual metaphors
Metaphorical creativity and semantic innovation
Metaphor and symbolisation in the arts
Visual metaphors: immediacy, emotional impact, and interpretation
Metaphor and aesthetic and epistemic emotions in learning

Submission Details

Deadline for article submission: 15 September 2026 (extended from 31 July 2026)

Length: 25,000–40,000 characters

Languages: Italian, English, French, or Spanish

Expected publication: December 2026
