Call for papers for a philosophy and law conference at Georgetown Law, with selected papers considered for publication in Law & Philosophy.
The event is generously sponsored by Professor Stephanie Barclay, the Georgetown Center for the Constitution, and the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics.
The organizers invite papers that philosophically engage with, analyze, or critique law and/or concepts applicable to the conceptual analysis of law.
Papers may be up to 9,000 words, including footnotes. Submitted papers must be:
The conference is being held in partnership with the journal Law & Philosophy, which will publish selected papers subject to peer review.
If a paper is selected for publication, the author(s) agree not to submit the paper elsewhere until a decision by Law & Philosophy has been communicated.

Eligibility note: Submissions by authors who were featured in the organizers' last two conferences, in 2025 and 2026, will not be considered.
