Persistence welcomes original research that advances understanding of complex systems and their foundations. The journal encourages contributions that cross disciplinary boundaries or critically examine the concepts, methods, and assumptions underlying research in complexity science.
The journal particularly welcomes philosophical and foundational contributions, including work in philosophy of mind and cognitive science, philosophy of physics and computation, formal epistemology, and conceptual or methodological critique.

Accepted papers are eligible for publication in the curated print and ebook volume of Persistence Volume 1 (2026). Published articles receive a DOI and a public review record.
