As AI systems increasingly reach patients before clinicians do, the special issue examines who interprets, who decides, and who answers for outcomes across clinical, ethical, legal, and policy perspectives.
The issue particularly welcomes work within the journal’s Ethics and Philosophy of Medical AI scope.
The issue welcomes scholarship from:
Contributions may address questions surrounding clinical judgment, responsibility, accountability, decision-making, and the ethical, legal, and policy implications of medical AI.
